Southern Boone Middle School is seeking a dedicated Reading Interventionist to support students in grades 5–8. The Reading Interventionist plays a key role in improving student achievement in reading, with a focus on Tier II and Tier III instruction. This position involves planning for and providing individualized and small-group instruction to students who are struggling academically, as well as monitoring, reporting, and communicating student progress and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with classroom teachers to provide general academic support in reading, ensuring students receive targeted assistance that reinforces and aligns with their core Tier 1 instruction 
• Plan and provide targeted reading instruction to students identified for Tier II and Tier III  reading interventions.
• Deliver both individual and small-group lessons to address specific skill deficits.
• Conduct formal and informal assessments to identify student needs and monitor progress.
• Collaborate with teachers and administrators to support the effective implementation of the district curriculum.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with staff and parents.
• Create and maintain reading plans for students.

• Valid Missouri teaching certification in an appropriate grade level and subject area.
