Health Services Aide
SUMMARY: The Southern Boone School District is looking for a part-time Health Aide for the 2026-2027 school year. This position will help support the health offices throughout the district. Healthcare background preferred, but not required.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
The Health Aide will be responsible for the following:
- Providing first aid, as trained by the Health Services staff
- Administering medication
- Communicating effectively with others (students, parents, teachers, etc.)
- Managing student health records, as trained by Health Services staff
- Understanding and adhering to Board policies and procedures
- Performing other duties as requested by the school nurse
If hired:
- Employee must participate in the annual First Aid Provider training, provided at the beginning of each school year.
- Employee must participate in Emergency First Aid training the first year of employment.
- Employee must participate in CPR/AED certification.
- Employee must be able to travel between district facilities.
Perform other duties as necessary to support the mission and vision of the Southern Boone School District.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this position an employee must have the ability to Stand, stoop, bend and kneel; Read handwritten or printed material; Frequently lift up to 10 pounds; Grasp, hold, and demonstrate finger dexterity; Reach and raise arms above shoulders and head; The selected applicant must have both close and distance vision. Attendance: Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
Conditions and Environment: The individual who holds this position will regularly work in a school environment that is noisy and active. These are essential functions of the job.
