We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Language Arts Teacher to join our teaching team for the 2026-27 school year. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the English curriculum, a passion for inspiring literacy, critical thinking, and creativity, and the ability to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver lesson plans that align with state standards in English Language Arts.
• Utilize diverse teaching strategies and materials to cater to the various learning styles and abilities of students.
• Foster a positive and respectful classroom environment that encourages self-expression and critical analysis.
• Set clear expectations for behavior, participation, and academic performance.
• Manage classroom dynamics effectively and provide support to students as needed.
• Regularly assess student progress through quizzes, essays, projects, and informal assessments.
• Provide constructive feedback to students and their families on academic performance, writing, and reading comprehension.
• Adjust instructional methods based on student needs and data from assessments.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress, classroom activities, and any concerns.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school-wide initiatives.
• Participate in professional learning communities to collaborate with the English department team.
• Provide individualized support to students who may be struggling with reading, writing, or analysis.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education.
• Valid teaching certification for English Language Arts.
• Previous teaching experience (preferred).
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
