The Southern Boone School District is seeking a passionate and dedicated Learning Garden Teacher for our Primary and Elementary classes. This unique position offers an exciting opportunity to lead a program focused on farm-to-table experiences, combining garden-based learning with classroom instruction.

The ideal candidate will:

• Hold certification in elementary education (grades 1-6).
• Collaborate with the high school agriculture program, food service team, and local community civic organizations.
• Work with students in grades Kindergarten through 4th, providing both in-class and pull-out instruction.
• Utilize a curriculum that integrates plant science, math, general science, and language arts standards.
• Supervise and mentor high school student helpers as part of a vocational learning experience.
• Coordinate student garden clubs.
• Cultivate strong partnerships with community groups to enhance the program’s reach and impact.
