The Southern Boone County R-I School District is seeking a full-time Instructional Coach for the 2026-27 school year to serve students and staff in grades 5–8 at Southern Boone Middle School. The Instructional Coach will provide job-embedded coaching and instructional support to teachers, with a focus on improving student learning outcomes in reading, writing, and math. The ideal candidate is student-centered, collaborative, and committed to continuous improvement for both teachers and learners. Southern Boone Middle School operates as a Professional Learning Community (PLC), and the Instructional Coach will play a key role in supporting collaborative teams, instructional best practices, and school-wide improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide instructional coaching and support to middle school teachers (grades 5–8)
  
  
• Collaborate with teachers to improve instructional practices in reading, writing, and math
  
  
• Support lesson planning, data analysis, instructional strategies, and assessment practices
  
  
• Facilitate professional learning aligned with school and district goals
  
  
• Participate actively in PLCs and contribute to a positive, collaborative school culture
  
  
• Use data to guide instructional decisions and support student achievement
  
  
• Model effective instructional strategies and classroom practices
  
  

Qualifications:

• Valid Missouri teaching certification appropriate to middle school grade levels and/or content areas
  
  
• Experience working at the middle school level (grades 5–8) preferred
  
  
• Strong knowledge of effective instructional practices
  
  
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
  
  
• Ability to build positive relationships with staff and support adult learning
